The Jinny series by Patricia Leitch was my first real introduction to pony books, and I was an instant addict. We were on holiday in North Yorkshire and my mother bought me the first one to keep me occupied and stop the howls of 'I'm bored!' I think I read it cover to cover every day!
I collected them all over the years but lost some during many house moves, and it's a pleasure to have the full set again in physical form. The covers are beautiful and the Arab mare on the front looks just how I imagine Shantih, they're nicely printed, and I'm once again devouring my way through stories of Jinny and her adventures. My husband thinks it's hilarious but I just ignore him in favour of a beautiful horse and her wild owner. Thank you for republishing them
I have loved the Jinny at Finmory series since I was 13 years old. I never tire of re-reading them. My vintage set is too old to re-read & I needed a new set to keep on going. I'm now 62 years young & they're still my favourite horse series of all time. Beautifully republished. Thank you!
