Siân Shipley

Siân Shipley can’t remember a time when she didn’t love horses ... or stories.

Born in Bridgend, brought up near Pontypridd, and spending her teenage years in Pembrokeshire, she spent her formative years begging and borrowing rides on other people’s ponies and losing herself in library books.

She settled in North Wales after obtaining an English and Creative Writing Degree from Bangor University, and has had a variety of jobs since her graduation, including the world’s clumsiest waitress, a receptionist, a carer, a chef, and as a worker in the finance sector.

One day, she’d like to be able to write permanently, but until then, her life is a whirlwind of family, a full-time job, two very wayward dogs, and an Arab and a hairy native pony of her own.
